LimerCam AI-H7 is an edge AI camera with onboard NPU, PoE and RTSP output. Get first video on screen in five minutes.
Mount and connect
Fix the camera to its bracket, then run a single Ethernet cable to a PoE switch or injector. The camera draws about 7W — any 802.3af port is enough.
No PoE? Power it from the 12V barrel jack and connect Ethernet for data.
Find the camera
The camera announces itself over mDNS. Open Limrox Device Finder (in Downloads) or browse to http://limercam-h7.local to reach the web console.
Default login
Username admin with the password printed on the label under the camera. You will be asked to change it on first login — do this before exposing the camera to a network.
Get the video stream
In the web console, enable the main stream and copy the RTSP URL:
- Main:
rtsp://<ip>:554/stream0(2688×1520, H.265) - Sub:
rtsp://<ip>:554/stream1(1280×720, H.264)
Run your first AI model
Open AI > Models, pick person-detect-lite from the built-in library and apply. Detections appear as bounding boxes in the preview and as JSON events on MQTT topic limercam/events.
Next steps
Set up motion zones, wire the alarm outputs, or pull snapshots into Home Assistant through MQTT.
