What this covers
The awkward middle of a hardware project: you have proved the idea on a dev board and you now need something a customer can hold, before the tooling budget exists.
How to shorten the loop
Order one
Every catalogue item is available at a minimum order quantity of one. Iterating twice in a fortnight beats specifying perfectly once.
Start from a reference design
Schematics, bills of materials and gerbers are published for the carrier boards. Fork one rather than starting from a blank sheet — most of the risk in a first spin is in the power tree and the connector choices, and those are already solved here.
Ask before you spin
An FAE will review your schematic before you send it out. This is free, it takes a day or two, and it has saved more board revisions than any other thing on this page.
Path to production
The parts you prototype with are the parts you ship with — same part numbers, no silent substitutions, with a seven-year availability commitment on the compute and sensor lines. When volume pricing starts to matter, send the quote list over with your annual forecast.
