What this covers
Detection, tracking, OCR and visual inspection running on the device that holds the camera, rather than on a server somewhere else. That constraint is the point: it caps latency, it caps bandwidth, and it means the frames never have to leave the building.
Choosing the right compute
Start from the frame rate you actually need
Most inspection tasks do not need 30 fps. Deciding early whether you need 5 fps or 30 fps changes which accelerator you buy and roughly halves the power budget.
Quantise before you commit to hardware
The INT8 toolchain is included, and it is worth running your model through it before choosing a part. Accuracy loss is usually small, and knowing the number ahead of time is better than discovering it after the enclosures are made.
Lighting is part of the bill of materials
More vision projects are rescued by a change of lighting than by a change of model. Tell us about the scene when you ask for a quote — the lens and illumination choices matter as much as the sensor.
What ships with it
Pretrained models for the common tasks, a retraining pipeline, calibration tooling and full Linux drivers. Schematics and mechanical drawings are available for the modules intended to be designed in.
