What this covers
Condition monitoring on rotating equipment, environmental sensing in places people should not have to stand, and the gateway hardware that gets the data out of the plant and into whatever you are already using to look at it.
Where projects fail
The pilot works and the rollout does not
Ten sensors on one line behave differently from four hundred across a site. The gateways here handle store-and-forward, so a network outage produces a gap that fills in later rather than data that is simply gone.
The network was never part of the plan
LoRa for long range and low duty cycle, 4G where there is no infrastructure to borrow, wired Ethernet where the cable tray already exists. Most real sites end up using at least two, so the gateways take more than one uplink.
The environment eats the hardware
IP67 housings, wide-temperature parts and screw terminals that survive vibration. Specify the ambient conditions honestly when you ask for a quote — an enclosure that is one rating short is the most expensive way to save money in this category.
Integration
Modbus RTU and TCP, OPC UA and MQTT are supported out of the box, with documented register maps. Nothing here requires a proprietary cloud to function, and nothing stops you using one if you want to.
